Adelphi Orkney Roots Hororata Highland Games 2012 release

The 2021 Hororata Highland Games single malt whisky is a specially selected by the team at Whisky Galore and Adelphi. Chosen from a single cask, that matured for 14 years, this dram comes from one of the iconic distilleries situated on the remote Orkney Isles. On the nose, heather Honey, toffee and honey. The pallet is moreish with flavours of hard toffee, Creme Brule and marzipan in conjunction with some of the classic light smoke and heather-honey associated with the distillery. With water to dilute the 58.1% ABV it opens up the rich fruity and toffee notes, making the toffee more like Scottish tablet, late honey notes (heather) but not sweet.
